Scientists found that the cannabinoid not only affects the ECS, but may also activate other receptors outside CB2, including 5HT1A and TRPV1, both of which are involved in mitigating panic and fear responses to stress. Researchers believe that a healthy ECS sets the tone for the rest of the body’s functioning, including stress relief.
Typically ingested via CBD capsules, raw oil, vaporization, or through eating foods containing the cannabinoid. The majority of CBD available in the United States is derived from industrial hemp, with the molecules being separated in order to get the purest extract possible. The recommended dosage is around one-tenth of a gram, although it may be increased. It is important to start off small and only increase use as needed. While it is not possible to overdose on cannabinoids, there does come a point where you reach a threshold to where it will not be effective.
